Vivapoly 2009

L’acronyme EPFL est apparu voici 40 ans, en 1969, année érotique ! La 16e édition de VIVAPOLY fera pudiquement un clin d’œil à cette épique époque, en musique, en décoration des stands, et plus si entente !

Pour le reste, on ne change pas une fête qui gagne, on l’améliore, c’est tout ! Les « plus » de cette année :

  • Une nouvelle allée de fête en direction du nouveau Bâtiment SV, qui soulagera un peu la «Place Kebab»
  • Une Place Nord assagie avec un espace calme pour ceux qui pourraient avoir des choses à se dire
  • Une Grande Scène couverte déplacée au sud de l’Esplanade, au bas du Théâtre de verdure, pour le plaisir des musiciens et des spectateurs, tous à l’abri en cas de mauvais temps.

Merci à tous ceux qui font VIVAPOLY : la direction qui soutient la fête et offre l’apéro à 18h, les associations faîtières qui portent la manifestation, les 50 stands qui animent et restaurent, les services de l’EPFL qui travaillent toute la nuit et le public qui vient prouver que le «Campus vivant» n’est pas qu’un slogan. Merci enfin au Comité d’organisation de sa fidélité au projet.

The EPFL acronym appeared 40 years ago, in 1969, an erotic year! The 16th edition of VIVAPOLY will give a chaste nod of the head to that epic epoch, in music, booth decoration and attitude!

 Otherwise, we’re going by the maxim “if it’s not broke, don’t fix it”. We aren’t changing anything about the festival, we’re just making it better. This year’s additions:
  • A new festival zone in the direction of the new Life Sciences building, easing traffic in the “kebab square”
  • A quieter Place Nord with a “calm zone” for those who might want to talk to one another
  • We’re moving the covered main stage to the south side of the esplanade, below the lawn theater, which will be much appreciated by musicians and spectators, particularly if it rains.

Thanks to all who make VIVAPOLY happen: the Direction, who supports the festival financially and who offers the aperitif at 18h00, the participating associations who organize the event, the 50 booths that entertain and feed the crowds, the EPFL services who work all night long and the public who comes, proving that the term “living campus” is much more than just a slogan. Finally, thanks to the organizing Committee for its faithfulness to the project.

Participez premier tournoi de «streetball»

En plus des jeux habituels, cette année l’AGEPoly, vous propose untournoi de «streetball». Il n’est pas nécessaire d’être un pro du basket pour participer, le but étant avant tout de s’amuser?! Il aura lieu sur 4 terrains aménagés à divers endroits du campus. Les matches de qualification auront lieu entre 12h30 et 14h, et la phase finale aura lieu aux environs de 17h. Pour y participer, il vous suffit de former un groupe de 5 personnes au minimum et de vous inscrire à la boutique de l’AGEPoly durant les deux semaines précédant Vivapoly. On vous attend nombreux et motivés !

Concours de l’A3: relevez le défi !

Comme chaque année, l’A3, Association des diplômés EPFL, organise un concours technico-ludique (ou ludico-technique) à l’attention des étudiants. Cette année, le défi consiste à déplacer un objet de votre fabrication posé sur une barre de métal horizontale ronde, elle-même suspendue à environ 1m20 du sol. Le plus rapide gagne.
